Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG CNG SUV Launched at ₹9.99 Lakh; Bookings Open October 20

Mahindra has expanded its compact SUV line-up with the launch of the XUV 3XO ZNG, a CNG-powered model aimed at buyers looking for lower running costs without moving to a conventional hatchback.

The XUV 3XO ZNG is priced between ₹9.99 lakh and ₹12.27 lakh, ex-showroom, and will be available in four variants. According to The Times of India, bookings and deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 20, 2026.

Power comes from a 1.2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine paired with a factory-fitted CNG system. The engine produces 113 hp and 200 Nm of torque, and is connected to a six-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg in CNG mode.

The SUV uses a twin-cylinder CNG arrangement beneath the rear luggage area. The company says this layout helps retain a flat loading floor and provides 270 litres of boot space. The vehicle can automatically switch to petrol when its CNG supply runs low.

Features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, tyre-pressure monitoring, a panoramic sunroof and connected LED tail lamps.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, four-wheel disc brakes and a gas-leak detection system. Mahindra says the system can switch the engine to petrol mode if a CNG leak is detected.

The four variants are priced as follows:

• MX Edge: ₹9.99 lakh

All prices are ex-showroom. The new model will compete with CNG-equipped compact SUVs such as the Tata Nexon CNG and Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG.
