OTT Festival Releases: 25+ New Movies and Horror Thrillers Arrive Online — Which Ones Should You Watch First?

Streaming platforms are turning the festive week into a movie marathon, with more than 25 films and digital premieres reportedly arriving across multiple OTT services. From chilling horror stories and psychological thrillers to crime dramas, suspense-filled mysteries and regional entertainers, the latest releases offer viewers plenty of choices for their festive-weekend watchlist. The growing variety of online premieres also gives audiences an opportunity to discover films across languages and genres without visiting theatres.

Horror and thriller fans have plenty of reasons to explore this week's streaming catalogue. Direct-to-digital releases are particularly appealing to viewers looking for fresh stories, unexpected twists and intense cinematic experiences. Meanwhile, regional cinema continues to attract attention by bringing stories in different Indian languages to wider audiences through streaming services.

The latest wave of releases also reflects the increasingly competitive OTT landscape, with platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar and ZEE5 competing for viewers through a steady flow of new content. Curated release schedules help audiences identify new arrivals and plan their viewing around the festive break. However, availability, premiere dates and language options can vary by platform and region, so viewers should check the official streaming listings before settling on a movie.

With more than 25 reported releases in the festive-week lineup, the biggest question is which film will emerge as the audience favourite. Will a terrifying horror thriller dominate conversations, or will a suspense drama or regional movie become the weekend's surprise hit? For viewers planning a movie marathon, this week's OTT releases offer a compelling reason to update their watchlists and explore something new.
